DADiSP talks MATLAB

Justin Beecher
Product Specialist

DADiSP has a long history. Back in the days of DOS, it offered an innovative interface by presenting multiple, interrelated data windows on the screen. When any data was added or changed, all other charts and data windows updated automatically in response. That’s why DADiSP was known as a “graphical spreadsheet”.

Today DADiSP is a modern, interactive Windows application that’s still popular for heavy-duty, visually-oriented, technical data analysis and presentation. It automatically captures data from laboratory instruments and T&M equipment, and supports ActiveX so it’s compatible with a wide range of Windows applications, including Excel.

Recently released are two new add-ons designed to import MATLAB files into DADiSP; and to import data from Dataq Instruments data conversion systems.

With DADiSP/MAT File, you can load MATLAB files of any size, or sub-sets of files, containing any number of variables, so you’re able to analyse MATLAB data even if you don’t have MATLAB itself installed. DADiSP/Dataq File is a simple dialogue-based module designed to read, scale, analyse and write Dataq’s WDQ data file format.
