Presenting Results
You can present your data and calculated results as 2D diagrams, 3D
diagrams, column tables, cell tables or embedded in text. The powerful
diagram wizard offers you a variety of diagram styles divided into more
than ten categories from which you can choose. Simply select the data
in Explorer, call up the wizard, choose the diagram and you're done.
The other steps in the wizard are optional. Here you can select from
over ten types of scalings, for instance, or you can add additional axes
and a legend to the diagram.
The flexible diagrams from FlexPro offer you almost unlimited design
options. A 2D diagram, for instance, can have any number of X and Y axes
and curves. For each curve you can combine presentation features such
as lines, symbols, bars, fillings, labels and error indicators in any
way you want. You can control a large number of parameters such as symbol
size or a color palette via additional datasets and/or calculations.
You can also modify axis scalings and display any text in any location.
A strip chart display with stacked Y axes is available that is especially
designed for displaying multi-channel measurements. For 3D diagrams,
you can choose from waterfall, surface, column and space curve styles,
which can be combined any way you want. Each type of curve offers a large
number of presentation elements such as grids, symbols, color shades,
color palettes and much more. You can achieve the optimum 3D effect by
making illumination active.
FlexPro 7 also offers polar diagrams. Any 2D diagram can now be transformed
into a polar diagram using FlexPro 7. This means that all diagram types
are available in polar representation. For scaling polar axis systems,
special formatters for angles in degrees or radians as well as fractions
of Pi are available. FlexPro’s new pie charts also use special
polar diagrams.
Even for the presentation in table format, a wizard is at your side.
FlexPro can display individual values, vectors and matrices in tables.
Large datasets can be broken up over multiple columns and pages. You
can design the tables using a large number of display attributes such
as vertical text, merged cells, etc.
In your diagram and tables, you can also insert drawings and labels.
A user-friendly editor is available for this. The editor provides you
with a series of drawing elements such as lines, rectangles and ellipses,
etc., which you can later group into larger objects. Any manipulation
e.g., rotating, aligning, enlarging, etc. that you want to undertake
is possible.
FlexPro can display numerical values in all objects formatted in a variety
of ways. You can present values with or without an exponent or in engineering
units. The number of valid positions and/or positions after the comma
can be determined here. The date and time can be displayed in many and
various ways to the exact millisecond. FlexPro controls the output of
numbers using formatters, which you can easily set using a dialog box.
The text object is also suitable for displaying individual values, which
you enter into the text using placeholders. You can format the text as
you would in a word processor. Special types of display such as bullets
and numbered lists are also possible.
You can easily transfer all objects into your word processor or paste
them into a FlexPro document. This type of document includes a header
and footer and can contain multiple pages. The drawing editor is also
available here, and you can embed your company logo or other graphics
as OLE objects. For instance, you can add the date or page numbers in
your text using placeholders. You can automatically break up 2D diagrams
and column tables with large datasets over multiple pages. To do this
you simply set the X area per page in the diagram or the number of lines
per page in the table. The number of pages will then dynamically be generated
depending on the size of the dataset to be displayed. |
