Error message: "The program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. ChemDraw caused an exception 10H in module MSVCRT.DLL".

This problem has been fixed in ChemDraw 6.0.2. ChemDraw 6.0 users can download a free 6.0.2 update from:

http://www.cambridgesoft.com/support/files.cfm

If for some reason you are not able to download and install the patch, a quick fix is to rename your "Generic Nicknames.txt" file to "Generic Nicknames.old". (Do a Find File to locate this file.) Please note that renaming this file will cause generic nicknames, like A, M, Q, X, and R, to be chemically meaningless in ChemDraw. If you are not using generic nicknames, this will not be a problem.
